KENNEDY BELL

Kennedy Bell is an Atlanta-based Writer, Director, Producer, and Camera Assistant. In May 2025, she graduated from Oglethorpe University with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Film and Media Studies, double-minoring in Communications and Creative Writing.

Since graduation, she has involved herself in numerous short films productions, acting in leadership and creative roles such as producer, director, 2nd Assistant Director, and more. She participated in Assembly Studios Film Internship Program as a Screenwriter, Casting Director, and 1st Assistant Camera. She directed a retro-inspired horror short, “Play Ball” for Atlanta’s 48-Hour Horror Competition which has won Best Set Design, Best Male Actor, and 2nd Best Overall; followed with a nomination in Best Directing. The film is set to premiere this Fall.

With a devotion to storytelling, Bell has exhibited a proclivity in complex a female-centric narratives as an effort to subvert from typical film tropes placed on women investigate the human condition. Taking after her favorite directors such as Brian De Palma and Kathleen Collins, Bell’s mission is to showcase stylized emotionally-connected visuals with surrealist undertones that can serve as a reminder of a familiar era in Film. She focuses on thrillers, horror, coming-of-age, and comedies to illuminate her flawed, and dangerously curious characters.
